What is the best way for for a manager to see their team’s time?

A customer asked this question about viewing time and timesheets.

I don’t want to my Manager see other projects, tasks, or resources that are not in his projects, but my Manager needs access to another team members timesheet to see their project time. They don't need to approve the timesheets but they need to see where their team's time is going. Is this possible?

Only Administrator level users can view timesheets for other users, as timesheets include all time entries across all projects, including those a Manager may not have access to. This provides a full view of a user’s weekly time.

While Managers cannot view other users’ timesheets directly, they can report on time for projects they share access to with those users. For example, if both the Manager and the user are part of the same project, the Manager can run reports on that project’s time.

To see a view most similar to a timesheet, we recommend using the Summary Report. It closely mirrors the timesheet layout and allows filtering by client, project, person, and date range.
