A customer asked the following question:
Is there a report to show how many tasks were incepted/created in 2024? This would not be a filter by the start date in the task, those aren’t reliable inception dates.
There are a few options on this front.
Task Snapshot Report
In the “Group by” options there is a “Created Date” filter option that can be used to report on how many tasks are being created/incepted based on the desired filter (date range, client, project, etc.).
Task Listing Export
The task listing does not have a column for date created, but this data is available when the task list is exported to a spreadsheet program. The exported data includes date created, start date, due date, and closed date.
Global Task Exports
The global data exports that are only available to administrator level users with access to Settings and Defaults section includes the date created column.
In the future, the advanced task search will include the ability to filter tasks by creation date, making it easier to find tasks based on when they were added. This feature is currently under development.
